Synopsis
Anatolia, 1922. Five sealed chests bearing unknown inscriptions are unearthed. Those who opened them never returned. Berlin, 1935: the Ahnenerbe, the SS occult institute, tracks them down and forces Johann, a linguist, and his daughter Aria to decipher the inscriptions under threat. What they discover transcends science: a frequency, a resonance that acts on human consciousness. Istanbul, 1942: in the Byzantine cellars of Galata, the hunt closes in — Aria, Don Anton and their allies flee eastward, carrying the secret of the chests. The Tatras, 1944: a glacial crossing, the Slovak border, some dying so others may pass. Jerusalem, 1948: at the heart of the war of independence, a decisive encounter in the old city — the tipping point between flight and transmission. Buenos Aires, 1968: Don Anton passes a blood-stained notebook to his son Lukas. Ireland, 2025: Aria lifts the floorboard. The notebook is there. And the question that won't let go: what in the human refuses to bend?
